ABOUT OUR 2027 PLAYER EVALUATIONS
Called To Greatness Basketball Academy is accepting player evaluation requests for the 2027 basketball season.
We are seeking competitive female student-athletes who demonstrate discipline, basketball IQ, coachability, leadership, academic accountability, and a commitment to team success.
Our evaluation process helps CTG coaching staff identify student-athletes who are prepared for competitive development and potential national-level opportunities.
DEVELOPMENT FIRST. EXPOSURE EARNED.
ROSTER SPOTS ARE EARNED, NOT GIVEN.
WHAT WE EVALUATE
THE CTG STANDARD IS THE STANDARD
Our coaching staff evaluates more than basketball talent. We look for student-athletes who demonstrate the skills, character, and commitment necessary to compete and develop within our program.
BASKETBALL IQ — Court awareness, decision-making, understanding team concepts, and execution.
SKILL DEVELOPMENT — Ball handling, shooting, finishing, footwork, and position-specific fundamentals.
DEFENSIVE INTENSITY — Effort, toughness, communication, and willingness to defend.
COACHABILITY — Listening, accepting correction, applying feedback, and showing improvement.
LEADERSHIP & TEAMWORK — Positive communication, accountability, and putting the team before individual recognition.
ACADEMIC ACCOUNTABILITY — Maintaining academic standards and understanding that education comes first.
COMPETITIVE MINDSET — Consistency, preparation, resilience, and the willingness to compete against high-level talent.
WE DON'T JUST EVALUATE TALENT. WE EVALUATE HABITS, CHARACTER, AND COMPETITIVE READINESS.
PARENT & FAMILY EVALUATION
AT CTG, WE DON'T JUST EVALUATE THE PLAYER. WE EVALUATE THE PARENTS, TOO!
Building a successful national basketball program requires more than talented student-athletes. It requires families who understand and respect the standards, expectations, and commitment of competitive basketball.
WHAT WE LOOK FOR IN PARENTS:
RESPECT FOR COACHING — Allow coaches to coach, players to compete, and student-athletes to learn through correction and adversity.
ACCOUNTABILITY — Hold your student-athlete responsible for academics, attendance, attitude, preparation, and commitment.
COMMUNICATION — Communicate respectfully and directly with CTG staff. Address concerns appropriately without creating unnecessary conflict.
COMMITMENT — Understand the time, travel, financial responsibilities, and sacrifices associated with national competition.
TEAM-FIRST MENTALITY — Support the entire program, not just your own child. Respect coaching decisions, earned playing time, and team expectations.
TRUST THE DEVELOPMENT PROCESS — Understand that growth requires discipline, patience, correction, and consistency.
OUR STANDARDS ARE NON-NEGOTIABLE.
Parents are expected to support a positive, respectful, and accountable environment for every student-athlete.
NO PLAYER OR PARENT IS BIGGER THAN THE PROGRAM.
